True Colors

I heard a science tidbit today I did not know before... when light hits an object, the cells of that object absorb certain wavelengths and reflect others. When we see the color "blue" for instance, it is because the object we are looking at absorbed the green, yellow, and red light wavelengths and reflected the blue wavelength.

This led me to think on spiritual things (as God's creation always does for me), and how that applies to our lives. So many times, people see what others are "reflecting" and not necessarily what that person is "absorbing."  They tend to judge others based on their own perceptions only.  We need to learn to look with spiritual eyes many times to see the true colors of someone.  This also should cause all of us to examine daily what we are absorbing (accepting) into our heart, mind, and soul, and what we are reflecting (rejecting).

"While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal." Corinthians 4:18
