A quick summary on why the Feasts of the Lord are important to end times prophecy

"And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts." Leviticus 23:1-2

The word for "Feast" in Hebrew is Mo'ed and means appointed time. The word for "convocations" is Mik'raw and means assembly, but also is used for rehearsal. The Feasts of the Lord are appointed times by God, and are a REHEARSAL for things to come. A rehearsal is when you practice something before the actual event occurs!
The Passover Feast was a rehearsal for the coming of the Messiah. The Passover Lamb is slain, the Unleavened Bread is eaten and all leaven removed from the house, and the harvest of First Fruits is celebrated. Jesus was our Passover lamb (I Cor. 5:7), Jesus is the Bread of Life without any sin (leaven) who removed all the sin from our earthly house (John 6:35), and Jesus is the First Fruits risen of all of us who will follow Him in resurrection (I Cor. 15:20).
The Feast of Weeks (Pentecost/Shavuot) is a rehearsal of what was revealed to be the "Mystery" of the church age...Jews and Gentiles in the same Body of Christ. The wave offering of the two loaves of bread symbolized a barley loaf for the Jews, and wheat loaf for the gentiles, together in one body. The church age begins at Pentecost with the giving of the Holy Spirit, and will end at the rapture when the Church (the Bride of Christ) and the Holy Spirit are removed from the Earth. It is my understanding and belief that both of these events occur on the Feast of Weeks.
The Feast of Booths (or Tabernacles) is a rehearsal for the coming end times which follow soon after the rapture occurs. The Feast of Trumpets foretells of an event which calls the Jews to assemble and prepare, most likely a battle. The Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) foretells of a day when atonement begins for the Jewish people. Also, the Year of Jubilee begins on the Day of Atonement as well, and I believe initiates the opening of the seven-sealed scroll by the Lamb of God Jesus. This opening of the seven-sealed scroll is what initiates the start of the Tribulation period with the introduction of the antichrist. The Feast of Booths (Tabernacles) foretells of a seven year tribulation period where God pours out His wrath on the earth, but dwells with and protects His remnant people of Israel. The Eighth Day Sabbath of the Feast of Booths foretells of the one-thousand year Millennial Kingdom, a period of rest and restoration.
It is also important to understand that the first two Feasts (Passover and Weeks) play out exactly as prophesied. But, even more amazing is that the events occur on the exact dates of the Feast days. Jesus is sacrificed on Passover. All sin is removed on Unleavened Bread. Resurrection occurs on First Fruits. The Church begins on Weeks. It is only logical to assume therefore that the same will hold true for the remaining Feast days. The Feast of Booths will be fulfilled as prophesied, and it will occur on the exact dates of those Feast days in some manner.
We do not know the exact day, but we do know the signs and the seasons of Jesus return. We need to be watching and prepared.

God Bless!
